NO-FI "MAGAZINE"
"I Think It's About Time For A Quickie"

So much happened last month that it prevented me from fully attending to all my No-Fi "Magazine" duties (luckily Quin has been training to update the site when I'm not available to do so. In the case of Issue #35, I had to make an emergency run to Missouri due to the death of my geandmother. It was very sad and although I was happy to see that side of the family that I rarely get to see, it weighed upon me pretty heavily and I just didn't update the site the way I normally do.

Thus this "35.5" issue; "The Quickie Issue". Due to technical difficulties, I also had to delay the Silversun Pickups interview that was suppossed to appear in #35. Hopefully this can be resolved before Issue #36. Anyway, I'm back and I've put up a few reviews already...

...And speaking of reviews, we have a couple new writers. Ryan Lieskie (who I will get to introduce himself in an "article-ette") will be doing movie reviews and if all goes well, Jenny (not the Jenny from No-Fi "Radio") will be doing show reviews. So if you are an independent filmmaker or you have a show coming up that you want us to check out, write us and let us know.

So a few of the articles including that interview will actually finally reside in Issue #35 (which you can always access in the archive). Only a couple things and some reviews will be exclusive to this mini-issue. And, god-dammit, how did those Porky's films get so popular? Porky's 2 is on TV right now and I just don't get it...plus whatever happened to those actors? That is is a mystery which we will not be tackling this issue or any other as far as I know. (The Porkies Atari 2600 video game was great though.) Oh, and by the way, many of the pictures featured on the cover and around this half-issue were taken by me at last year's Shock-A-Rama-A-Go-Go festival at The Downtown Palace Theatre in Downtown L.A. I spoke with the girl on the cover for a short time and she was very nice. If any of you know her out there, have her write us so I can give her a free CD or show or something for her being on the cover.
