It's been a tough month for me. I've been sick and now I'm dealing with an ear infection which has caused my right ear to ring blaringly loud for over a week now. I went to the doctor who has now refered me to an ear specialist who will hopefully figure out what is going on in there. Working with bands and music it is kind-of important to be able to hear things properly.
Wait-a-minute...somebody is calling... OH WAIT! That's my EAR ringing!!!
So this is one of those general issues, but he bands within are certainly not that. We are very excited to have interviewed and recorded Gravy Train!!!! from San Francisco. In fact that interview itself may be turning up in their upcoming DVD as they video taped Quin asking them the questions! Good stuff. Also Mary did an interview with one of her favorite bands she's always talking about. Now we'll all have a chance to meet them in a way.
It's rare when I keep these intros so short and sweet. It's just not the funnest time for me even though all this cool stuff is going on around me. Still breaking in the new place in Eagle Rock (or is it breaking in me?). It's nice to still be around our last neighborhood of Silverlake. At least in the new place we can paint the walls any way we like and we ARE doing just that as you may have been seeing in pictures from the No-Fi "Radio" homepage. It'll be a while before it is all done if ever.
Ok, so we had a pretty good start to the mag this month so we'll keep it up. I guess the design this month came from some imaginary technical manual for businesses I made up in my head. I love all kinds of retro design and I guess I'm going for a mid eighties sorta look for such a thing. Hey, why not? It's my "magazine" right?
